KEY TASKS
1. Provide asbestos analysis in accordance with HSG248 and MDHS 100 for surveying, bulk samples and air testing.

2. Maintain a safe & healthy working environment.

3. Perform all required internal (calibration, quality control & trace ability) & external quality assurance checks (RICE & AIMS) to meet UKAS requirements.

4. Support the business in providing a flexible service to meet internal and external customers requirements on site or off site.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS / CRITERA
1. Have a qualification in asbestos preferably a P402 or S301 plus Oral, or one of the P401, P402, P403, P404 & P405 series of modules plus Oral and have fulfilled the Quality Manual training requirements.

2. Ability to use Modus and Microsoft Office packages.

3. Understand the requirements of a UKAS quality system.

4. Knowledge of Health and Safety.

The role will involve travelling to Edinburgh, Stirling and Fife surveying buildings for asbestos (houses and offices) Role will be very varied. Transport will be provided.

Must be able to work with no supervision, be confident, outgoing and able to make decisions. Need to have a good eye for detail and be a good listener.

Hours Mon-Thurs 8-4.30, half hour for lunch, Friday 8-1pm . Some weekend work might be required.
